pwhelan0610 is correct:  you will get the equivalent of a full backup (because 
there is no baseline) but the retention will be based upon the incremental 
schedule.  And you will continue to get a full data backup with each 
incremental until you the full backup schedule successfully runs.  I ran into 
this the hard way a couple of years ago.  Had a system that had 1.5 TB of data. 
 I could not figure out why the nightly backups kept taking so darn long until 
I saw that the full backups were failing due to a configuration issue.
