Hello,
BMR is installed by default with NetBackup client for windows if you have NetBackup 6.0 of 6.5 or 7.0 or 7.1 If you have Unix clients it is installed by default with NetBackup versions 7.0 and 7.1. You do not have to configure anything at the client site.
Most of the errors I have seen regarding BMR are that the storage controller drivers of the client are not compatible with Windows PE. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Preinstallation_Environment). NetBackup use Windows PE to initially boot the system and start the restore.
If the error you have is related to driver discovery, try to upgrade the drivers to the latest version.
And post the error here.

What does that mean? I have turned on BMR in the policies but I get errors when the backups run, so I assumed something more was needed on the client end.

Hi All,
Thank you for your help in the past. I have one more BMR question. Is it possible to configure a BMR client without having to log in to the client?
