Netbackup is having problems writing to the tape drive.

Do you have the netbackup bptm logging turned on? If so it will be a good source for information on this problem. Depending on the problem you might have to up the verbose level for bptm to 5.

You might also look at the os system error logs.

The tape library and tape drive can also have error logs or error leds.

Let us know what you find.
