Its not supported, but it still works. If you are still using that version of a client, probably everything else about the client is unsupported too! We have a couple of AIX 4.3.3 servers using that client. Backing up just fine.

The NBU client on these systems is the very least of my worries! ;-)

we just did our upgrade from 6.5.1 to 7.0.1

from my research 5.x is not support by 7.0, I believe the min. version is 6.x
