Hi Adrian,

Assuming you are using Windows, then you should install RAWS on server B.

Thank you,

Andry Hartawan.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Sharing Backup Drive

Dear all,

I have a problem with sharing backup drive in Backup Exec 12, and here
is the situation:

Currently, I have server A with Backup Exec v12 installed on it and it
has its own internal backup drive. The backup job (which mean Backup
Exec Backup Job) is scheduled daily.
The other server (server B) doesn't have its own backup drive and now I
want to back it up by using the backup drive of server A.

In my opinion, there are 2 kinds of backup strategies.
First, server B shares the files & directories to be backed up to server
A and let server A access the shared files & directories and back them
up using server A's backup job.

The second strategy is to run the backup job from server B and let
server B gain the access to server A's backup drive for its own backup
job.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
The question is, how can I do the second strategy explained above?
Please provide me some information & documentation for sharing the
backup drive of one's server to another server.

Thank you for helping.

Best Regards,
 Adrian
