You can parse bpimagelist for the information you are looking for.
bpimagelist -L -backupid $image
However, if you are using a VTL with deduplication expiring
backups may not free up much space.

Hello Experts,
We are on nbu6.0 mp6 and I would like to know if there is anyway to find the
backup ids that have 2 copies? Our filesystem/database backups with long term
retention (mostly infinity) first go to virtual tapes and then get duplicated
to physical. I would like to find this out and expire those backup ids that
have 2 copies as we are out of virtual scratch tapes.
