I have changed master server name few times (pre Netbackup 6.0). I thought it 
was pretty simple. Basically it consisted of these 2 steps:

- Do a COLD backup of catalog on the old server
- Restore on the new server using bprecover -dhost "NEW_SERVER_NAME" option

I havent tried this on 6.0 and up.
