If all you want is the listing of the
clients, you just need the directory structure for the clients on the Master,
you don't actually have to install all the client binaries if you don't
want to.

If your master server is solaris, you do not have
to install solaris clients
Install only Linux clients.
Use the installation cd, not the patch
