We have i2000s, SL8500s and SL3000s, all over 700 slots.

All are good libraries, but the SL libraries have capability of redundant robots. The SL8500 is a huge beast of a library, but that's nothing new to you with a Powerderhorn. The SL libraries can also be hooked up with ACS (the 8500 must use it, and the 3000 is optional), which might be something you could continue to take advantage of.

The bad I have noticed with the 8500s is that we have had a few robots hands fail over the last 3 or so years we've had them. Not really a big deal as each hand is only 25% of the library since we don't have redundant hands yet. My point is that even though it's redundant capable, the failure rate is higher than I'd like. I can't recall the last time we had a bad hand in an i2000.
