Here's a slight more compact version (displays inactive policies).

bppllist -allpolicies | awk '$1=="CLASS" {pl=$2};$1=="INFO" && $12==1 {print pl}'

If you want to determine "for how many days" - that's a much bigger task - something that's going to have to take place outside of NB.

Use the following command to generate a comma separated list:

# /opt/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bppllist -allpolicies -L | nawk -F':' 'BEGIN{print "Policy Name,Active"};/^Policy Name/{printf $2","};/^Active/{print $2}'|sed -e 's/^ *//' -e 's/, */,/'

Folks,

We've come across a problem recently in 5x land where we have had a number of policies deactivated that shouldn't have been.

Obviously in 6.5 it's very apparent in GUI and NOM that a policy is deactivated, not so in 5x

So does anyone have a script that they use or know if i can pull information out of Netbackup and script, someting along the lines of these policies have been disabled x days.

Back to the war room

Thanks in advance

Mike
