It looks like you are trying to restore an Exchange store, is that correct? What version of Exchange? Are you trying to restore to an RSG or SG? I doesn't look like it. I've only been able to restore the information store directly to files (without using an RSG or SG) with Exchange 5.5. If this is anything newer then I've got tons of tricks that have worked over the years, here's a few off the top of my head.

Make sure "This mailstore can be overwritten" box is checked

Make sure the locations for the database and logs are correct

Revert the Netbackup agent version to whatever you were using previously

When running the restore select "Restore individual files" option and specify SG or RSG

I've restored tons of "old" exchange over the years and the network / socket errors are always something else. Try the stuff above, and if you're still stuck send me some more details and I can help.

I have been attempting to restore some data off some older LTO2 tapes but continue to receive the error below and would like to know if anyone has encountered this issue. I was able to restore off of some tapes but not others.
