not sure what OS it is on, but maybe a reboot?
Or if not, can you do a REPAIR to the installation ?
In Windows, I know I had a new identical problem, and I need to to
perform a REPAIR option.

Do you have it added to the master server's bp.conf as

SERVER = my-new-media-server

Is it the same version as the master server?
