I'm trying to utilize a Java GUI to manage a Windows 6.5.3 environment.
When the auth.conf file is present, and having proper name entries, I get an error that the username is not listed. If I remove/rename the file, the Java Console loads everything and seems just fine, as long as I'm using a valid account on the box.

Another tidbit that's interesting is that I *was* getting just the Restore panel before I manually created the <installpath>\Veritas\Java directory.

I would expect the opposite to be true - either load only the restore panel, or give me the no account warning if the file isn't there.
Is this what others are seeing with Windows environments and Java Consoles?

It's working for me this way, but I'd like to have that extra little bit of security.
