We get a status 6, especially for logs, but if there
is nothing there, we get the same status code.
DBA Team verify this, but enable some logging on the
client and talk to the DBA's to be sure :-)

When a RMAN backup aborts with a status of 6, the error
is usually in the RMAN log somewhere. Usually the DBA's keep those
logs.

Yes, I am sorry I should have said these are jobs that run RMAN scripted
backups on another host.

Windows 2003 Server(32 bit)
I have several jobs that fail from
time to time with a status 6 and the error message is "The backup failed to back
up the requested files ". Does anyone have any more information about this error
and how to prevent it?
