Recently I have also encountered similar issues relating to the Standard and Enterprise issue.

I am running NBU 6.0 and trying to backup Enterprise Vault using the Datastore Policy Type.

But I have a Standard NBU Edition.

So the Datastore type does not show up.

Even after I key in the Datastore license found in the admin guide.

After I keyed in the Enterprise License, then I get that option.

From the Admin Guide, it does not seem to be that way, Standard Edition should be able to run Datastore too without the need of Enterprise license.

I recently went through the same exercise and this is what I came up

with:

- NetBackup Server

      - Single Master/Media server + clients

      - All features of Enterprise EXCEPT

            - Clustered Master Server

            - SAN Media Server

            - API Library Robots (ACS, LMF, TLH, TLM)

            -  NetBackup Enterprise Client

            - NetBackup NAS SnapVault Option

- NetBackup Enterprise Server

      - Single Master, Multiple Media servers + clients

Steve.
