No it isn’t the C++ version. Most windows servers do not have
C++ installed on them. The server works ok now that it had a complete
uninstall reboot and a new install. There must have been a corrupt registry entry
or file. That’s what I get for doing remote installs on patches.

I wonder if you need a newer
version of C++
There was an issue with AIX and
netbackup 6.5 that we had to upgrade our C++ library to get rid of errors.
Does the prereq for 6.5.3 say
anything about what level of C++ you must have on the windows server?

Subject: [Veritas-bu] problem after upgrade to 6.5.3
Has anyone else found an issue with bpkar32 crashing on
any of their clients after upgrading to 6.5.3?
I have full logging on and my bpkar log shows no errors.
The Error popup is Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\bin\bpkar32.exe
The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application’s support team for more
information.
