regarding the level of the C++ runtime libraries and AIX patchsets?  If
you're not at 9.0.0.3 minimum, it might be worth a look.  There are
other notes in the platform compatibility list to check.  (This appears
to be AIX week on the list--and for me... I'm ready for that to end.)
