Has the same issue recently
6.5.2a on aix master and aix media. Plus 2
windows San Media
I had to reboot both the master and the
media server, once up I bounced netbackup on the master again. And then it
worked.
They think the issue for me was because I
had my disk drives and my tape drives on the same FC adapter ( IBM does not
support this and is recommended)
I am working on changing that… but
right now I don’t have the issue. (even though they are still both on the
same adapter)

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Shared drive
problem
Hi,
Hoping
someone can help me. We've got a new system recently put in, its been
fine until recently - had to reboot the media servers and have had a problem
since then. We've got an AIX master ( no tapes) a W2K3 Media ( also a VCB
server) and an AIX media server , all with NBU 6.5.2a installed. After
rebooting the first media server to run gets a tape drive no problem and
subsequent jobs run ok. On the other media server the first job sits there with
a status of 'waiting for shared tape drive scan to stop'
Any
ideas?
TIA
Gary
