Re: [Veritas-bu] Backing up MSSQL2008

Hi Steve
In that case, just configure a SQL Job to backup the files
to disk, and then do a file level backup to tape for the .bak / .trn
file(s).
Simon
Hi all,
I have been
tasked with backing up a SQL clustered environment running MSSQL2008. I realise
that this version of SQL is not officially supported by Symantec till v6.5.3 but
unfortunately I am not in a position to upgrade my current environment (running
v5.1MP7) till early next year.
Therefore has
anyone managed to backup and restore a MSSQL2008 environment using the DB agent
running NetBackup 5.1?
If so; are there any
gotcha’s I should be aware of?
Thanks in
advance,
Steve. ______________________________________________________________________ This
