Christopher,
No NDMP backups cannot be multiplexed no matter where the tape side of
the backup exists. This is a limitation of NDMP.
Multi-streaming is possible with NDMP backups just not Multiplexing.
Thanks

Question,
Normally when you dedicate a drive(s) to a NDMP host that host can only
use one tape drive per host and cannot multiplex data streams. If you
chose not to dedicate any tape drives to the NDMP host and chose to use
the remote NDMP backup method, can a single host use multiple tape
drives and multiplex data streams?
How is the performance of the remote NDMP backup?
Thanks
