I am in the process of migrating from
Solaris to an AIX lpar. In my testing environment I did a catalog
recovery on an lpar with the same hostname, but a different IP. I
haven't ran into any problems whatsoever, it has been running for 6 months.

I'm not 100% sure, but I was always told no, you cannot
change the IP.
Maybe someone else can help, sorry.

Can you change the ip address on a master server?
I know you can't change the hostname, but I can't remember if you can
change the ip address without any issues.
