If there was exactly ONE that was the best for everybody, there would be only 1 product on the market.  Obviously there are many, and there are many different approaches to how they work.
 
In some cases, no de-dupe is the best answer.
 
There are many white papers out there with reviews on the different products and which might be appropriate to the way you do business and what type of data you have.  Start there...

How do you map it (e.g.: as VTL or DSU) on media server?

How its being replicated (e.g. WAN or SAN base)?

Any Hiccups…s  ?
