Rather than relying on NetBackup’s schedule you might want to use cron if UNIX/Linux. That is you set the policy to allow the backup on Friday’s but not actually schedule it in policy. You could then write a script that would determine whether it was a “quarterly Friday” and do regular (weekly/monthly) every day but that and do quarterly on “quarterly Friday”.

Well, it sounded good. You can’t use “last Friday” (calendar based) with Frequency. You can have Calendar based or Frequency based but not both.

I'd think that last Friday of the month with an 89 or so day frequency would do it...if that can be configured, that is.

Does anyone know of an easier way to configure a Quarterly backup
schedule to run on the last Friday of the Quarter other than going in
and manually selecting those 4 dates in the year for each policy? I can
do last Friday of the month but not last Friday of the Quarter. Just
wondering if there was an easier way.
