We are evaluating a pair of DD580's
for both VTL and CIFS mounted backups.
We are running NBU 6.5.1 on 64Bit
Windows 2003.
We just got it running yesterday. We
plan to replicate between two sites.
So we won't know for a couple
of weeks how it will work for us.
Comment: It took a couple of days to
get it running on their
latest release, but tech support worked
with us and we were able to get it
working. Tech Support was very
helpful. Which is a good sign.
That's all so far.

My sales guy recommended to look at DataDomain device (disk based
appliance) as a possible replacement for the tape library.
Anyone is using datadomain devices? Could you share your experience please.
