Hi guys

a colleague of mine upgraded our netbackup server (solaris 10 ) from 6.0  to 
6.5.1. 
After the upgrade the vaulting behavior is strange..  the vault run was 
requesting all tapes back from off site.. 
 a bit of analysis using the vltoffsitemedia command showed that the vault 
return dates were all set to the date of the upgrade . Which was why we were 
getting a massive tape return list.

is vault broken in this version ???

I have since been using the vltoffsitemedia command to set new (sensible) 
return dates for various bits of media in order to keep the library fed.. 
however
even though i have set dates, im still not getting the media  i expect (ie none 
) except for catalog tapes  in the vault return reports which still seem to be 
returning as per normal.?? 

am i missing a step to force the return of tapes from offsite...
