Another way you can prevent that from happening to specific media, you can place a physical expiration date on the tape, and that will prevent the tape to be mounted regardless if is expired.

>>From the Administration Console.

Media Management> Media> Select Media ID> Right Click on selected media > Change > Expiration Date > Date

It will automatically populate with the current date/time and you will only need to accept the change by clicking [OK].
