Yes, I can telnet from the client to the master on bpcd.
Yes, I tested used bpclntcmd - Connectivity is correct.

Like I said, the cold f/s works perfectly. It's the SAP piece that is
failing.

Communication work different when it's a database backup.

The 'child' job is initiated on the client. It needs to connect to bprd
on the master.

Have you tried to telnet from the client to the master on the bprd port?
(telnet <master> bpcd)

Have you tested bpclntcmd from client to master on hostname and ip?

Regards

Marianne

 Env: 1X NBU Master/4x Media Servers is 6.0 MP4 - W2K3 -SP1 -LTO3
Client - HPUX - SAP/Oracle Database Agents - 11.23 - PA-RISC

When I attempt a SAP backup on this server, it will continually time out
with a status 41. The strange thing though is that the cold f/s backups
complete perfectly.

I checked all of the connectivity with bpclntcmd, and the responses came
back correctly from the master.

I turned up the logging and in the backint logs, I am seeing the
following errors:

I double checked that we have the correct licensing, and we do. Any
thoughts?
