Also, keep in mind how your company interprets RPO and RTO.
Assuming you do backups once per day at midnight.
If you have a failure 23:59, your Recovery Point best case is 24hr.
If say it takes 12 hr to fully recover a system once the disaster has
occurred, then by the time your system is backup, 36hr have elapsed.
I've seen different companies refer to the above case as either 24hr RPO
or 36hr RPO.
Be sure to clarify whether your organization uses RPO as delta from
"Recovery point prior to Failure", or "Recovery Point prior to failure +
Recovery Time".
