FWIW. An apology from Mr. Brown. Attached...
===========================
Good evening Mark
1st - let me sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and I will find
any of these e-mails and get them removed immediately.
I do apologize as my intent was not to "spam" anybody. I have been
utilizing and managing my customer "lists" for years and just
implemented a new software that is supposed to help "manage" my lists
for me. I don't know if I had it mis-configured or what as I began
getting all kinds of "undeliverable" messages this morning which is very
strange.
However, I have received a couple of replies back on this so there must
have been at least a few messages that actually were delivered. Again,
if you were not supposed to be on here, I messed something up in setting
up this new application and I will make sure to get it resolved and you
off this list as it should be.
I have yet had a chance to go through each of the addresses below to
find out exactly "what happened" , but a quick glance looks like there
are some addresses (but not all) that should be there and some I don't
recognize at all.
You do make reference to a Users Group - I do "subscribe" to a few user
groups centered around data storage and Netbackup, I will hunt down
which one you are referring to and make sure addresses aren't being
pulled into one of my distribution lists set up for program and
knowledge updates.
I am afraid I included a whole section of my Outlook in my new e-mail
management software instead of just my "updates" distribution list.
Again, I do sincerely apologize and I'll get this fixed ASAP as
"spamming" is not a practice I take part in (or ever have) as I do
understand and respect proper business etiquette.
Sorry for any unnecessary inconveniences Mark...
Matt Brown, CDIA+
