Start out by looking at the NBU docs to understand all about these buffers; 
size, number, & restore_buffers.  NBU has recommendation on number of buffers 
based on MUX settings, etc.

I have always gone by what the tape drive vendor says in their documentation 
for buffer size.

The warning on Windows being 64K is a driver issue; I believe some HBA drivers 
will go larger that 64K :D
