I personally ran into this problem. I found the best way to fix it was
to put the Mailbox Information Store and brick-level backups into
separate policies.
Best way was to schedule the backups so the Information Store Backup
finishes before starting the brick-level backup. I often receive errors
from the brick-level backups, so it works better this way.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can help me on this issue. Currently I am
running
FULL backups daily on my Exchange servers.
The servers are clustered. I am backing up the Mailbox and Information
store
as well as brick-level backups for a number of individual mailboxes. My
understanding is that the logs were to be deleted when the backup is
successful. Two things - if the backup is a "partial success (1)" should
it
remove the logs as well? Secondly, the logs are not being deleted as I
thought they should - is it because of the brick-level backups of the
individual mailboxes? Should I set up a separate policy for that?
