We are trying to keep our volumes around 1TB.

I have some which are around 3TB but by using LTO3 I can get it on 3,4
tapes.

Restore will be slower but no way I want to manage hundreds of qtree
levels backups.

I'd done that for couple years and it was a nightmare even with
scripting.

Hello,

 

Do you split your NDMP volumes greater than 1 TB into multiple streams?
I am trying to figure out which way I want to go with my config.  I am
mainly concerned about complicating the setup and restore process with a
large file list.  Please respond with your input.
