Hi All
Many thanks. The problem is this ... The administrator was logged onto the
Master Server directly, launched the Backup, Archive & Restore tool. When he
went to specify netbackup machines / policy type the box did not show the
3rd tab.

Now, as the Administrator, I would have expected to have seen that.

Old Man bob ??? :-)

Simon,

As the old man, bob944, is saying the results your coworker is seeing is
expected. A client and media server, by default, cannot restore data except
to themselves (clients) or the machines they backup (media servers). Only
the Master server can restore to all machines; therefore, the only machines
that will have the three tabs are the servers (Master and Media)

Thanks,
Rockey J. Reed

Simon - read: Managing Client Restores in the Windows SAG, Volume I

Would you really want any old Joe User to be able to restore the
Payroll_Server's files to a system of his choice? I didn't think so.
