Yes, seeing as your running LTO2 tapes and getting less than expected! 200GB
I believe you should get :-) Or something close to that!
 
Again, could be the type of files backed up

Just an update, seems to be a drive issue. I was able to write 160GB image
to another tape drive using the same tape. 

I updated the drive firmware, power cycled the server and all the tape
drives on the SCSI channel. 

I'll be placing a service call on the drive today. 

This is still kinda goofy.
