When you removed the L100, it should have put all of the tapes in the NONE
status under robot.

 

If it didn't, you will have to move the media.

 

If it did, you should be able to inventory and it move the media for you.

 

Also, make sure that the 2 libraries read bar codes the same.

 

I had a ADIC i500 that read 8 characters.  When I moved the media to a
library that only read 6 characters, it said that the tapes were not the
same tape (cause of the bar code difference) and that they would have
duplicate names.

HI Guys !

 

I have replaced L100 with L500 tape library on a veritas netbackup 6.0
environment.

 

Now I hv configured new L500 and when I am adding old media ( used with L100
with valid backups) its not allowing me to do, saying duplicate media and
error 37.

 

Any suggestions
