Well I just spent the night upgrading 5.1 MP2 to MP5 and I CAN confirm that
my last client is MP2 and is fully working. This is a Windows 2000 Server
BTW.
Also, for the record, NT clients with 3.4 work, and I can stillperform the
same backups and restores with no problems.
You do not mention your hardware or OS, so may not be able to help.
If you go down the "official" channels, you will be told that the
environment needs to be upgraded (Master, Media servers and then clients) to
the same revision.
But this is only for a "support" requirements.
