Mark,
There could be a number of reasons for this - have you enabled
VERBOSE logging on the client and had a look through bpbkar logs on
the client and bptm/bpbrm/bprd logs on the master/media server ? If
you just kick this off during a quiet period there shouldn't be too
much noise in the log files to pick out.
Also worth making sure there isn't a name resolution issue by using
bpclntcmd on the client/media server to make sure they can resolve
each other and route backwards and forwards correctly.
