You can use something like snoop or tcpdump to confirm that the backup
is offhost (less / different data seen on the network).

online_util and bpfis directories should be created on the client to get
logs.

The snaplist and bpfis commands will only show snapshots active during
the backup - once it has completed, they should be automatically
removed.

Also, while the backup is active you should see the snapshot filesystems
mounted, e.g. /tmp/_vrts_{something}. These will be snapshots of the
filesystems that contain your data & should show the same
size/used/available as the original filesystems.

Hello colleagues,

Can anybody help with answer: how oracle policy works with snapshots?
We have configured Oracle police with advanced client option (offhost
backup with media server as data mover and nbu_snap snapshot).
We can see, that backup is really offhost (speed is significantly better
than LAN backup).
But 1. online_util and bpfis logs had not been created
      2. command snaplist has no output
[root at sf25kb logs]# /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/driver/snaplist
[root at sf25kb logs]#
     3. bfis command says nothing about snapshot
[root at sf25kb logs]# /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpfis query
INF - BACKUP START 20046
INF - FIS IDs:
INF - EXIT STATUS 0: the requested operation was successfully completed

Thanks, Sergey
