Mark,

Backupexec and netbackup can co-exist on the same client. We used to have
backupexec installed on our exchange servers for exchange api backups and
netbackup for system-state/file systems backups. It was no problem before the
sysmantec purchase of backupexec. After the purchase you had to watch the order
they were installed in. This was due to the use of common files which you had
to make sure one did not back level the other.

So it should work, just test, and you might have to upgrade the product that
you are planning to delete. You could also have problems if you use the both to
do filesystem backups using the archive bit.

All

Can NetBackup and BackupExec co-exist on the same client.
Netbackup services will be disabled ready to do a migration.
