Tar command used by NBU is a gnu tar modified by Veritas, if your DRP
server is a NBU master/media server you won't have problems to import
tapes.

If I have a mixed media server environment (HP, Solaris), and I know that
NetBackup user tar for backups. If I have my clients mixed between the
Solaris and HP server but my DRP server at a remote site is HP, will I have
a issue if I would have to import a backup tape that was written from a
Solaris server onto a HP server?

Thanks,
