Why don't you go into your schedules that are UBAC (user backups) and have the
start window only open for after hours?
You can search to see what policies have schedules of type UBAC by using
bpplsched.

NB 5.1_MP4 on Solaris 9 master
NN 6.0_MP3 on Solaris 10 master
Has anyone devised a way to disable manual backups for specific
policies only? I have over 500 policies on two different master servers
and it is hard to remember which ones should not be started during
business hours for testing or troubleshooting because of the negative
effect it has on overhead. I tried using the keyword in the policy,
spreadsheets and post-it notes, but still manual backups get started. I
can't simply slap the culprit that starts a manual backup because
sometimes it is I. :-) I was thinking of maybe using a cron job to
de-activate the specific policies at 8AM and another cron job to
reactivate at 6PM. Is there a simpler way?
