You might want to look at the Netbackup Desktop/Laptop Option for backing up
Pst's since I believe its designed to backup delta blocks not files.

The only system I have with anything similar is a file share where
people store .PST files.  Because the .PST file gets "modified" every
time they open their email this files (and most are quite large) get
backed up EVERY DAY, which is completely silly.  I'm trying to get more
space allocated to exchange so I can get rid of these PST Files, but
that is probably not your case.  I would take a look at the data that is
getting backed up in the incrementals.  What files are being backed up
(again, and again and again?)  Do they share a common pattern?  Are they
database files that are constantly being "touched?"  Is there some sort
of application that is modifying the modified time on these files?  I'm
afraid without knowing the composition of the data this is an effort in
futility.

Our full on this server ran on Friday-Saturday and is a valid backup, at
least according to the db.  On the 26th, the backup of the drive in
question contained roughly 96.86 GB in 564266 files.  The
differential-incrementals from the days since:

28th: 195661 files, 69.63 GB
29th: 202196 files, 69.51 GB
30th: 199555 files, 71.47 GB 

Realistically, it's highly unlikely that we have a delta of 72% per day
for the first two, and a delta of 74% the third (in terms of capacity).
34% files delta between full and day one of D-I, 36% day 2 and 35% day
three.  Has anyone experienced a delta that high in
differential-incrementals?  It seems quite high.
