We always use ./bpconfig -tries 0
However, this will not stop user backups from starting.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Start NetBackup without starting scheduled backup
jobs
Hi,
When I start NetBackup 5.1MP5 with </etc/init.d/netbackup start> on
Solaris 8, then a
lot of scheduled backup jobs (usually) immediately start as well. For
NetBackup troubleshooting it would be
sometimes handy to prevent the start of scheduled backup jobs when
NetBackup is started.
Are there any command line options in connection with
</etc/init.d/netbackup start> which provide such a functionality ?
kind regards,
Stefan
