Jason
I think some clarification is needed here; Now are we talking about "Shadow
Copy" as in the feature introduced in Windows 2003 Server (which allows you
to create copies of files and folders on a volume) or are we definetely
talking about VSP (Vertias Snapshot Provider), which is the functionaility
to backup open files within NetBackup?

VSP is not associated with anything other than backing up open files. Just
wondering if there is some confusion, or whether this guy is talking about
another Veritas Product that does the same thing as the Microsoft Shadow
Copy service does

One of my coworkers just asked if I'd set up VSC (Virtual Shadow Copy)
scheduled tasks on a server. Hadn't, went and looked. Four of the drives
have scheduled shadow copy jobs, and they each have an empty folder called
NBU_VSP_Cache at the root. Thing is, this server isn't being backed up at
this time; the start time on the scheduled task is the same as the window
end time.

Looking at the client on my NBU master, I see that VSP has nothing set. I
don't see anything else related to VSC.

Suggestions?

Thanks,
Jason
