Thanks Ed
We are looking at using another server to become the master, any
pitfalls you have come across ??
We basically want to move the catalog to the new server along with all
media?
Regards
Dave

Renaming a master server is not supported. You will cause yourself many
hours of grief trying to do it. Put the entry back into DNS.
If your master is also a media server, you will create yourself even
more headaches by renaming the server. You'd be surprised at just how
many places the names are stored.
