We have weird thing going on with Netapp as well. We have a filer that
backups up fine except for a volume that has to snapshot files. When the
backup hits these files it slows to a crawl. Netapp case has been opened
but one thing they did say is make sure you have the latest ontaps
version. They are always coming out with new patches every week/month it
seems.

I've got a filer with 5 QTrees on it.
total volume of all allocated disk is only about 2.6 gig
4 of the 5 QTrees have been backing up fine, the 5th, was added about 2
weeks ago, and the path added to the same Netbackup Policy, and this
weekend started running amok.
the QTree only contains a couple hundred gigs, but the most recent FULL
backed up 3.5 TB before exhasuting all available scratch.
The following incremental backed up 2.8 TB before being terminated, and
now another inc is still running after 2.1 TB.

?????

Seem odd to anyone else?
