There is no good way to get a solid, consistent answer as to what
versions you are running. If you're fairly current, you can get the
info, but if you've got a wide mix of versions (and with 1400 clients,
you probably do), you're out of luck. Veritas has not provided a good
mechanism for getting this information.
Search the archives of this list and you'll find a few scripts that
purport to gather the information but there are lots of cases where you
simply get the information remotely.
