I use SSO on a RHEL 3 ES "SAN Media Server" to backup ~3TB EMC
snapshots. It works very nicely for me.
One thing I would suggest is to make this script:
/usr/openv/volmgr/bin/make_scsi_dev
NON-EXECUTABLE after you are configured correctly:
By default this script is called from the /etc/init.d/netbackup start
script. I don't understand why.
It's a problem when you restart netbackup while some other SSO system
is using a drive. This script just thinks the drive is gone and
deletes it from NetBackup. ARGGHHH!!
