Hi all

Anybody out there using STK tape drives (9840 & 9940) on AIX 5.2 ?

If so, I would like to know which drivers you are using.

I have noticed that the STK drivers do not support extfm (extended file marks). 
According to the Device Configuration Guide this attribute is required.

We are intermittently experiencing the following errors (only on AIX, none of 
the other Media Servers connected to the SAN):

recovery, read_position scsi command failed,  key = 0x3, asc = 0x30, ascq = 0x2

cannot  write image to media id M02785, drive index 7, The media surface is 
damaged.
*************************************

All of these errors result in error 84.
