What was the specific I/O error?
Sounds like the tape is fine and the restore was running fine and
something puked on the client side of things.

ie. a client I/O, rather than a tape I/O error.....I think there are
several of these documented in the troubleshooting guide.

Did the verify run on the same physical *drive* as the restores?
